Having the right processes, technologies and people in place makes all this possible. We are aware that every company presents different needs and challenges. This strengthens our determination in defining and implementing the right processes to arrive at the best solution for all.
Why Plus?
Over the past 4 years, we have worked closely with more than 100 language service providers worldwide. Our team has established itself as a valuable partner to global translation teams working on localisation projects for a vast array of end-clients, mainly in the life sciences, technology, legal and manufacturing domains.
Our readiness to learn and explore new methods and resources has allowed us to gain invaluable knowledge about the workings of the language services industry. The insight we acquired over these past few years, teamed with our team members' professional experience and backgrounds, makes us confident that we are now ready to embark on the next step of our journey. We are determined to add more value to the industry, hence the Plus, by directly assisting end-clients with their translation efforts.
Our goal is to help companies improve aspects of their translation process by embracing technology and striking the right balance between automation and collaboration with professional translators.
Putting Together the Right Process
We offer a consultative approach to start our collaboration and then take an agile approach towards delivery. Our translation processes follow the industry-established standards of ISO 17100 and ISO 18587; however, these only serve as baseline guidance when delivering our services, since the needs of many companies go beyond ‘the scope of the ISO standards, especially when it comes to the supporting technologies and quality assurance steps.
Step 1
Meetings & Challenges
We start by having exploratory meetings to essentially understand your requirements. In these meetings, we explore your reasons for seeking translation services and what you want to achieve, the expected quality levels, the content type, the volumes and frequency, the turnaround times and the technologies that have been used so far to support the whole process. These meetings allow us to identify and shed light on any challenges that the business may be experiencing which may be associated with quality, pricing, transparency levels and process inefficiencies.
Step 2
Potential Solutions
We digest all the information shared in the exploratory meetings and analyse the current challenges to start mapping out areas of improvement. We brainstorm different potential ways to address these challenges and compare the potential solutions based on different criteria such as time and cost to deliver. Once we have considered the pros and cons of each solution and are confident with a particular one, we will define a high-level plan to deliver the solution – part of which will be the definition of the actual translation/localisation process we’ll adopt.
Step 3
Technology & People
We identify the best technologies for the translation process to make it more effective. These technologies may be readily available or may require custom development (e.g., software integrations). Establishing the right technology, however, is not enough. We take the task of putting together the right team to deliver the solution while ensuring that the actual translation process maintains an element of human touch to rise to the many challenges that translation presents. Translation professionals are a vital element in bringing the process to life and delivering the required translation or localisation solution.
Step 4
Delivery & Improvement
Once the initial process is defined and fully set up, we adopt an agile approach to continuously deliver value through translated/localised content. Our company ethos prioritises early collaboration and we strive to maintain high-quality standards and forge close relationships with our clients. We define a working cycle (usually spanning a few weeks), whereby we localise a set amount of content using the defined processes, the proposed technologies and the chosen team. Following completion of this cycle, the client, the production/project managers and the linguists are encouraged to provide feedback and suggest action points for improvement. This helps cultivate and foster a climate that promotes constant improvement.
The ultimate goal is that with every cycle, we improve the client’s translation process and resolve the challenges we identified at the start of the collaboration.
Using the Right Technologies in the Right Way
We believe that technology is redefining language services. For this reason, we make sure to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to technology while striving to understand the intricate details behind every language technology to help clients maximise the return on investment in language services.
We assist clients in choosing the right technologies and using them in the right way. This is guaranteed to have a direct long-term positive effect on productivity, cost, quality and security. Anyone who has experience in the language services industry knows of core technologies that help maximise productivity, increase quality and reduce cost, such as:
- Translation Memories (TM)
- Machine Translation (MT)
- CAT Tools
- Translation Management Systems (TMS)
- Termbases/Terminology Management
- OCR systems
We have ample experience with these technologies and the various options available on the market for each.
However, when we talk about technology, we take it a step further. We want to take a deeper look at how any kind of technology, beyond well-known language technologies, can be used ‘to improve the overall process and eliminate manual steps as much as possible. ‘It has been proven that the core technologies above can add a lot of value to many translation and localisation projects, but there may also be instances where other tech solutions may need to be considered to add even more value and boost the level of efficacy. These may include:
- custom integrations between systems
- triggering instant translation through direct integration with the Content Management System (CMS)
- development of custom APIs and add-ons to existing systems
- automatic transfer of content upon approval
- development of custom portals
- text-to-speech and speech-to-text modules
Technology can enhance any translation process in any domain, particularly software localisation processes. We can assist clients who are considering localising their software, especially websites and mobile applications, by guiding them in every step to expand their audiences and reach new markets, from internationalisation to testing.

Identifying the Right People for the Team
People are ultimately what makes or breaks a project. This is why we take the selection process of the team members responsible for working on a particular project very seriously, while striving to identify the best ways in which each person will add value to the process.
Our team is made up of:
- technology and software professionals
- experienced project and vendor managers
- professional translators and revisers
- subject matter experts
- designers and DTP specialists
The different areas of specialisation that come together in our team form a complete package that allows us to offer added value to our clients and lead successful translation and localisation projects.
Despite fully embracing the new, dynamic paths that the industry is taking, we are careful not to drift too far away from the roots of what makes translation possible. Native language professionals are a crucial asset to providing the best language solutions. We strive to collaborate with native professionals because we appreciate the importance of having a native knowledge of the mother tongue and all the intricacies that weave the local cultural tapestry. While appreciating the level of subject matter expertise and the creativity that these professional linguists bring to our work, we also make it a priority to collaborate with professionals who are ready to embrace the future of the industry.
We also believe that for the project to be successful we need to collaborate with the professionals on the client’s side and work together as one team. We want to provide a transparent, fair and enjoyable experience to whoever is involved. Every action we do, every decision we take and any process we define must be informed by the objective of providing such an experience to clients and language professionals alike.

We Promise To
Understand Client Needs
Prospective clients can rest assured that before proposing any potential solution or starting working together, we will invest sufficient time to understand their needs properly.
Prioritise Early Collaboration
We strive to keep risks low for both parties at the early stages of the collaboration. We recommend working together and testing the collaboration with an early small engagement rather than focusing on complex preliminary agreements.
Provide Timely Replies
Both clients and professional partners can expect timely replies (usually within minutes) to any queries and requests that they make via any communication channel available, especially email.
Be Transparent
We strive to be as transparent as possible with clients at any point in our collaboration. We ascertain that customers understand the pros and cons of available technologies. We ensure that our pricing strikes a fair balance between the professional effort needed to achieve the set quality levels and the level of efficacy afforded by the tools used to enhance productivity.
Adhere to Set Quality Process
We will go through all the quality steps stipulated by the process agreed to, whether following the baseline quality requirements established by ISO or any additional steps required by a particular client. We practise full transparency and are willing to provide the client with the sub-deliverables completed by different professionals in the preparation of the final deliverable.
Treat Language Professionals Fairly
We strive to treat language professionals in a fair and just manner in any aspect of the collaboration. Our efforts to achieve this vary from providing realistic effort estimations for projects aided by CAT tools and Machine Translation to negotiating fair rates and providing realistic volume expectations at the start of the collaboration.
